We are not happy about the way some people seem to be deliberately trying to gain VIP status. VIP is not just a target to aim at, it is a special privilege that is earned over time by regular, good quality contributions. A potential VIP is someone who stands out as being a person who contributes for the good of the board, rather than trying to attain it just because it is there. They also have to be seen as being trustworthy as many of us have shared private pictures of our partners which we do not want to be posted elsewhere.

Therefore we have decided to drop the idea of self-nominations and move this section into the VIP area so that the VIPs, mods and admins can nominate who joins the ranks.

If you're VIP material, we'll notify you. In the meantime, enjoy the board as a Gold member and know that your contributions are still appreciated and, in time, you may be nominated.
