Showing Stocking Tops

I have just carried out e brief analysis of the membership of this forum.

There seems to be (at time of writing) 3,701 members.

Of these only 68 (or 1.84%) have submitted 50 posts or more.

Now I can understand that new members can take time to get into the forum, and that some will not be as involved as others, but.....

a staggering 3,118 have made only 1 or zero contributions - thats 85% of members who have contributed nothing since joining!

Is there any way we can encourage participation?

Actually, compared to general Forum stats and chat room stats, thats not TOO bad an average! There are several articles on the net available about this, but generally experience tends to show that most forum rooms are actually contrinuted to regularly by only circa 10% of the total membership, while an astounding 45% of all registered members never contribute at all!!!

By that calculation, this area is doing well!

We had this question arise on the old board and called the members that dont vote "leechers",
I know its sad that leechers exist purley to get pics for themselves and have no doubts that they belong to many other sites like ours and are probably doing the same there so we are not alone,
Its no use banning them because you really never know when and if they may post pics or comments and as long as they're not peddling porn sites or some sort of drug i honestly think we'll have to lump it,
The more members we have the more the word is spread about our great new one and only amateur showing stocking tops site and in that alone we'll attract some genuine posters so i think im right in saying that they are here to stay unless they break the rules.
The up point is that as they're not posting they dont get upgraded so all the wife/girlfriend pics in gold and vip are hopefully safe from being posted elsewhere

It has always been so. I used to run a Bulletin Board back in 1990 and it had roughly the same percentage of what we called "troughers" (like pigs at the trough), and that was on dial-up. It was more of a pain then though as I only had 3 lines and often the regular posters couldn't get through.

It's a shame but I don't think they're doing any harm and at least we get one post from those who join up to see the other areas.

Well, the good thing is that we are talking about it, & like most of the above the level seems its about right,
that said, it doesnt mean we have to except it,
we have a competition on the way, so lets hear more ideas guys, ideas to make members get more involved, or to take part, all the 1 or zero posters, what did they want? so many members tell us that this site is the best, so lets make it better, as VIPs we should "mentor" gold users & encorage them to post more, comment more & get involved more

Totally agree that many members on here are on only to look (or perv!) at the pictures.
For the stocking lovers it's another site that we can look through, it is free and easy to join
and I suspect all sites have a small percentage of members who contribute and that is
regardless of the nature of the site. I have no idea how to encourage members to post,
and the none posters seem too shy to tell us why they don't post! Ah well that's life..!

As long as we have been involved with any group or forum it's been a handful of people that keep things moving along. Here is my experience concerning this issue. Married couples and couples that are actually living the lifestyle that we portray here will be the people that contribute the most on topic material and photos. Other people that contribute will be the single men looking for photos of the type of woman that he wishes he had in his life. He searches the internet and dreams of someday finding the right girl. He loves the stocking life style but has not yet found the right lady so he does the next best thing and uses us and other photos he finds so he can at least feel part of. He posts what he finds and settles for that but deep inside he longs for the day to post photos of his own princess in black stockings. Don't get me wrong with what I'll say next but there are also women that long for the same thing. In all my years of Leg Show experience I had conversations with and sold photos to many women. I always assured them that they were loved also. I'd bet my bottom dollar that there are some of those women hiding in the shadows afraid to say anything about their passion. Then there are the men who have never been married or never had a girlfriend that still live at home with their parents or still more sadly a grown man living with his mother. He's the guy that seeks places like ShowingStockingTops and downloads pictures and hides in a closet with his lap top and enjoys himself as mommy watches television in the next room. I am not trying to be funny here at all. I would say this group of non posters makes up the majority of the members here. These are the lost people that I communicated with for years. I sold photos and many photos to a man in his mid thirties who lived with his mom. He wrote to me in tears because he had lost all my photos. He was hiding my photos in the bottom of a garbage can wrapped up in multi layers of plastic bags. He's at work and mommy cleans his room, empties his garbage can and loses all the photos to the trash man. This is a true and very sad story. He found me on the internet and I did replace every photo he lost and sadly he still lived with his mother. Then there are the professionals and by professionals I mean the lawyers, doctors, executives, pastors and priests that are here checking us out but will never and I mean never post a photo or comment but will long deeply to actually be in a room with one of us women as we slip into fine hosiery and sheer sexy panties. Don't gasp at this my friends because it's real and I have experienced conversations with many men and women like this. They are just human beings but they are people in high positions or public positions that must remain secretive and quiet at all costs. These people actually suffer from what they long to have but will not for their own sake ever become an active member. They lurk and hide and long to be a part of but can't. So there is the break down as I've experienced it. There are many sad stories out there but believe me those of us who are posting our real amateur photos are giving hope and pleasure to countless numbers of people that share our passion.
