Showing Stocking Tops

I assume this is a function of the forum software, but it would be nice if we could


- know that we have replied to a thread without having to click on it to see
- looked at a thread before, but not replied, without it going "bold" again due to another reply. Basically show that it simply has had a reply, as opposed to being "a new thread"
- be able to "subscribe" to a thread

Is that a software upgrade, possible in any way? I'd be willing to donate to upgrade if it was.

This software is still pretty new to me but from what I know so far:

The only way I know to check which threads you've replied to is to find your name in the Members list and click on it. There is an option on the right "Find all posts by...".

There is a Replies column which will do what you want? I don't know of a way to mark threads Unread, that would be useful.

The nearest I know of is that at the bottom of each thread is an option "Watch this topic for replies". I think I tried it once and it didn't do much but experiment with it to see if it does what you want.

There is a new version in Beta testing. I did look at it and thought about using it here as it had some nice facilities but it is still incomplete and not ready to be run on a live board. The software is free so no problem there and I will certainly keep an eye on version 3 and install it when it's stable.

As you've probably noticed, I worked out how to change colours so it's now much clearer which messages are read and unread.

Also I noticed on the front page, right hand side:

View posts since last visit
View your posts
View unanswered posts

'View your posts' will show you which threads you've replied to much easier than finding yourself in the member list.
